AI Before & After

Photo processing, retention & deletion

A plain-language explanation of what happens to photos used for an Eva AI preview—and how to remove saved copies.

Effective July 13, 2026

Consent before processing

Storage is opt-in

Delete within 30 days

01

Processing requires your consent

We process a photo only after you consent to creating an AI preview. The preview is an illustrative simulation for consultation and education. It is not a medical prediction or a promise of results.
02

We remove embedded metadata

Uploaded photos are decoded and re-encoded before processing. This removes embedded metadata such as GPS location and EXIF camera details.
03

Saving photos is optional

Your source photo and generated preview are saved only when you separately choose to save them. If you do not opt in to storage, the images are processed for your session without being written to Eva's image storage.
04

Stored photos have a 30-day limit

Stored source photos and generated previews are retained for no more than 30 days, then permanently deleted. The related lead record may be retained without the photos so the practice can respond to a consultation request.
05

You can delete saved photos sooner

During your preview session, use Delete saved copies to remove both the source photo and generated preview. If that session is no longer available, email hello@getevaai.com with the email address used for the preview. We may ask for enough information to verify the request before deleting the images.
06

Saved photos stay private

Saved images are kept in access-controlled object storage at non-guessable paths. They are not attached to lead-notification emails. A participating practice may access saved images only when storage consent was provided.
